Description Habitat: Dry, gravelly, calcareous soils.
Plant: Low-growing, strong-scented, branched annual or short-lived perennial 6 to 12 inches tall.
Leaves: Opposite grayish-green to dark green leaves 3/8 to 1-1/8 inches long, pinnately-divided into 3 to 7 narrow, needle-like, stiff, hairy lobes with glands.
Inflorescence: Bright yellow composite flower heads about 5/8-inch across held above foliage on stalks up to 4 inches long; heads with 12 to 21 rays and 16 to 70 disk florets in the center; phyllaries below are dotted with dark glands.
Bloom Period: Most of the year.
