In Central Texas, as in most other portions of the state, there were very few fall flowers because of the very hot and dry summer that extended well into October. That said, we found a few plants on a trip to Canyon Lake, west of New Braunfels. We found a very interesting spot near Hancock, the Madrone Trail Pollinator Garden. The area had been irrigated and we found a few plants in bloom, including a couple new plants, too.
