Description Habitat: Desert scrub, gravelly slopes and plains, open areas, limestone soils, 2,500 to 5,000 ft.
Plant: Perennial shrub with gray-green foliage; low-growing, 12 to 40 inches tall; multiple branches from base, woody below.
Leaves: Leaf shape broadly ovate overall, 3/8 to 2-3/8 inches long and up to 3/4-inch wide, irregularly lobed or pinnatifid, on short petioles; very short hairs on both surfaces, especially dense on lower; surfaces dotted with glands.
Inflorescence: Terminal cluster of composite white flower heads, each 3/16-inch across, with 5 ray florets surrounding 8 to 20 or more disk florets.
Bloom Period: June to October.
