Description Habitat: Moist or wet soils in disturbed areas meadows, along streams.
Plant: Leaning, sprawling, mat-forming perennial; stems up to 3 feet long, reddish, rooting at nodes.
Leaves: Thin, very green, narrowly elliptic to lanceolate-oblong with pointed tips, 1-1/4 to 2-3/8 inches long; edges may be somewhat toothed.
Inflorescence: Small (3/8-inch across) white flowers with 4 pointed petals and 2 sepals; petals have soft hairs.
Bloom Period: April to October.
