Description Habitat: Sandy or gravelly dry open places.
Plant: Widely branching bushy, hairy perennial, 2 to 4 feet high.
Leaves: Large ovate leaves, up to 8 inches long, asymmetric base.
Inflorescence: Large white funnel-shaped blossoms, corolla up to 8 inches long with greenish base.
Bloom Period: April to October.
Fruit: Large round/ovoid seed capsules, 1-1/4 to 1-1/2 inches in diameter, densely covered with spines.
