Description Habitat: Sandy or caliche soils in open, grassy areas and roadsides.
Plant: Ground-hugging, spreading perennial, stems to 18 inches long.
Leaves: Ovate to oblong leaves with toothed edges, 1/4 to 3/4-inch long.
Inflorescence: Yellow-orange (sometimes whitish) flowers 1/4 to 1/2-inch across on pedicels 1/2 to 3/4-inch long rising from leaf axils.
Bloom Period: March to October.
