Description |
Habitat: Dry, sandy areas. Plant: Erect annual 1 to 5 feet tall, one to several branched woody stems. Leaves: Alternate, compound, each up to 1-1/2 inches long with 8 to 10 pairs of small leaflets, 1/4 to 5/8 inch long. Inflorescence: Flowers about 1 to 1-1/2 inch across, with 5 yellow petals of unequal size, upper four petals with red spot near base, lower petal larger/broader; dark red stamens.
