Description Habitat: Wet areas, stream banks, marshes.
Plant: Erect perennial up to 40 inches tall, from large onion-like bulb
Leaves: 5 to 8 linear leaves, 1 to 3 feet long and up to 1-3/8 inches wide.
Inflorescence: Fragrant flower 4 to 8 inches across with 6 very narrow, white petal-like segments (tepals); white corona with yellowish throat; 6 stamens with golden anthers.
Bloom Period: March to May.
